Rockford Fosgate P300-1 Review by Bay Area Slaps
Do not hesitate to purchase this amp. I have the rockford P-300 amp hooked up to a sealed bass slammer box with 12" competition kicker CVR. Such Clean Crisp slappin base. You absolutely have to have the Bass Knob to control from song to song how much punch u want to amp to throw. Paperwork shows this amp has total watt power of 1248. Seriously, inside of 4 minutes I can feel my hair moving.

I have this amp powering two 10" Kicker Comp subwoofers in a dual subwoofer enclosure. I'm serious, forget any amp that's more powerful or more expensive. This one provides so much pounding bass that you can't turn the gain up past 70%. I've had many audio systems in various vehicles in the past 15 years, and right now I couldn't be happier with the budget system currently in my vehicle. And I'm not exactly a newbie, I've had some pricey systems in the past and yet I can attest to the quality of this reasonably priced amp.
I'll just list off what's in my car right now, for those of you out there that are shopping for a complete system on a budget. The car is a Honda Accord coupe; I have a pair of 6.5" Alpine Type R (SPR-17C) door speakers, a pair of 6X9 Alpine Type R's (SPR-69C) in the rear deck, and powering those is a 300W Rockford Fosgate Prime four channel amp, model R300-4. I bought all these from Amazon at good, low prices.
Total costs: the door speakers were $120, the rears were around $120, the Prime amp was $130, the kicker subs were $120 for the PAIR, and the Punch mono amp I'm reviewing was $130. That's $620 (plus around $50 for wiring and I bought the enclosure off craigslist for 20 bucks!) for a system that is a 8/10 -- a whole system for the same price as one high-end, expensive amp. Not bad.
You'd be making a good choice getting this amp, just make sure you get decent subs and the right size enclosure. If it's too small you'll only get a fraction of your subs' capabilities.

had this amp over a year now and blew 2 8" subs(friend turned it louder than i said he could!, they were a snack for it pretty much with gain only 1/4 of the way up! just got 2 12" mtx jackhammers (500rms) and the guy down the street with his 3 12" cant believe the clarity and loudness this small amp puts out! Rockford WAY underrated this thing, mine birth sheet shows mine rated at 431rms @2ohms which is 131watts OVER what its supposed to put out! ive run this thing hours and rest assured... i give up far before it does. i need to buy stock in ibuprofen! so unless you want to blow your eardrums out or be heard in china then this is the one... it'll still let ppl know at all 4 corners of the intersection what good taste you have in music :P
